Tyson Fury has called off his world heavyweight title showdown with Anthony Joshua in an online video after the deadline expired.
Fury gave Joshua’s camp a 5 pm Monday deadline to sign the contract, and on Sunday, Joshua said he would sign the contract after legal checks.
Joshua didn’t sign the contract by the deadline, which expired at 5 pm Monday, and because of that, Fury has called off his world heavyweight title showdown with Anthony Joshua.

No contract has been signed, It’s officially over for Joshua, and now he is out in the cold with the wolfpack. Forget about it, he said. He also labeled Joshua an idiot, coward, shithouse, and bodybuilder.
Moreover, Fury said, Always knew you didn’t have the minerals to fight the Gypsy King, and I don’t care, Regardless of what the fuck you say now. Good luck with your career and your life, he said. Joshua has yet to respond to Fury’s words.
On Sunday in an Instagram live video, Joshua said I planned to sign the fight contract but was taking legal advice first. It isn’t in my hands, and it’s with a legal team, and that’s why you hire lawyers, he said.
Moreover, Joshua said You know the history of boxing, make sure you get your legal terms right, and that’s why you get good management and good lawyers. So, of course, I’m going to sign the contract, and it’s just with some lawyers at the minute, he said.
Last month in Saudia Arabia, Joshua suffered a second consecutive defeat to Oleksandr Usyk. Fury indicated he does not intend to return to the ring until 2023.
